Anna Kudla

Anna Kudla is an Innovation Analyst for RTI Innovation Advisors. Dr. Kudla uses her background knowledge in biology and experience in technology transfer and commercialization to provide insights for federal and commercial clients. She has expertise in technology commercialization, technology and supplier landscaping using primary and secondary research, and technology marketing to identify potential partner companies for out-licensing.

Currently, Dr. Kudla works on the Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Needs Assessment Program under the NIH Small Business Education and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) office. In this role, she helps small businesses by informing them of their strengths and areas for improvement. She develops recommendations to fill gaps in their commercialization plans. Additionally, Dr. Kudla supports the Forensic Technology Center of Excellence (FTCOE) efforts to disseminate information about technologies that can have transformative impact in the forensic science space. She supports efforts to market NASA technology to potential out-licensing partners.

Before joining RTI in 2023, Dr. Kudla worked as a technology transfer fellow at Duke University’s Office of Translation and Commercialization during graduate school. Prior to that, she spent 4 years as a science educator learning, strategizing, and implementing best practices for classroom management and student engagement. Dr. Kudla is proficient in R coding language.
