Get To Know Alan R. Blatecky

Mr. Blatecky shared what sparked his passion for cyberinfrastructure and drew him to the field and the best thing about working at RTI.

I’ve always been attracted to leading edge technologies, but I have a passion for developing and deploying these technologies to make a difference in people’s lives. Leading edge technologies are about future capabilities and exploring alternative ways to solve problems and provide new approaches that are more effective and efficient. The drive for innovation requires an ever-changing set of circumstances, players, and applications.

There isn’t just one best thing about working at RTI; it is the confluence of several things that matter – culture and vision, bright and dedicated people, spectrum of expertise, and willingness to collaborate.

Fun Fact: Although I’ve been deeply involved in leading edge technologies and data for most of my professional life, my “formal” education was a triple major in college (philosophy, history, English), followed by 4 additional Masters – Divinity, Theology, Business, Arts.
