Last week’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade removed the constitutional right to abortion. This decision most directly impacts women and those who may become pregnant, with a disproportionate effect on marginalized communities, especially low-income families and Black people and other people of color.
"RTI International believes quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, and we view access to abortion as an equity issue," said RTI president and CEO Tim J. Gabel.
In light of this ruling, we are committed to ensuring our staff and their families have access to the reproductive healthcare services they need.
We will also continue to conduct extensive research amid a significantly changed healthcare landscape. Read our research: Reproductive and Sexual Health Research | RTI
