RTI Awarded 2019 Cigna Certificate of Achievement

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has received a 2019 Cigna Well-Being Certificate of Achievement in recognition of its culture of health, and as a champion of wellness in the workplace.

The Cigna Well-Being Certificate of Achievement recognizes organizations for exceptional commitment to improving employees' physical and emotional health through workplace wellness programs. The organizations selected are recognized for their strengths in making well-being a part of their organizational philosophy of success and are measured by evaluating their scores in leadership, foundations, program implementation, tools and health promotion participation data and engagement.

“RTI is honored to be recognized by Cigna,” said RTI Benefits Director Chris Conway. “Health and wellness are an integral part of our culture. The RTI Wellness Program helps employees achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life. We're passionate about our employees' well-being and take every opportunity to celebrate their success."

RTI Wellness supports employees in managing their minds, bodies and lives, so that they can sustainably invest their passions in meaningful lives and work. The program strives to enhance the lives of RTI staff by creating a healthy work environment and culture through internal programs, events and activities related to RTI's wellness pillars. Events and activities focus on fitness and nutrition, emotional well-being, healthcare, finance and health at work.

“The wellness team continuously strives to help improve the health, well-being and peace of mind of our employees and their families,” said Conway.
