This applications research and development project used satellite imagery to estimate crop evapotranspiration (ET) and to quantify water balances for improving water management in the World Bank-funded Er Rbia Irrigated Agriculture Modernization project. The project used Moroccan government meteorological data and thermal and optical satellite data as input to a surface energy balance algorithm, to generate spatial and temporal estimates of ET throughout the growing season. |
