Receipt of Guideline-Concordant Surveillance Care in Elderly Patients with Colorectal Cancer
Goyal, R., & Davis, K. (2016). Receipt of Guideline-Concordant Surveillance Care in Elderly Patients with Colorectal Cancer. Value in Health, 19(3), A39. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jval.2016.03.1844
Abstract
Concordance with the current follow-up care and surveillance protocol for patients with early-stage CRC was substantially low, with older age, black race, and local-stage disease being the significant predictors of low concordance. Further research assessing barriers to access to guideline-recommended survivorship care is crucial to improve long-term outcomes among these patients.
