Porous bioabsorbable polyesters
Polylactones blended with a polyether and then shaped areleached with aqueous solution of an organic solvent such as alcoholor acetone to elute selectively the polyether and forminterconnected pores within the shaped polylactone. The result is ashaped article suitable for use a reservoir for the controlledrelease of high molecular weight drugs.
