North Carolina Science Festival

Promoting STEM education and engagement in our community

RTI is honored to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 North Carolina Science Festival (NCSciFest), an initiative of the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Together with our local partners, we are committed to promoting STEM education, collaboration, and innovation to inspire the next generation of scientists in our community and advance the progress of North Carolina.

NCSciFest runs throughout the month of April each year and celebrates science's educational, cultural, and economic impact in our state. This year's theme, "Science Matters," reflects how science touches every part of daily life in North Carolina. NCSciFest will feature a range of activities, from field trips and lab tours to large-scale community events.

RTI researchers and volunteers will be participating in multiple events throughout the length of the festival. Follow this page for a complete schedule as the event approaches.

NC Science Festival returns in April with RTI International as presenting sponsor

Festival events will feature more than 30,000 scientists and hundreds of STEM activities, designed to engage students, families, educators and community members, across all 100 North Carolina counties.
