Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a family of synthetic chemicals used in industrial applications, firefighting foams, nonstick coatings, waterproof fabrics, and many consumer products. These chemicals resist degradation and can accumulate in air, water, soil, and living organisms. RTI evaluates PFAS contamination, exposure pathways, and treatment solutions that address these persistent pollutants.
