Susan Crumpton serves as Deputy Director for the National Laboratory Certification Program (NLCP), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) accreditation program for forensic toxicology laboratories that conduct drug testing for federally regulated job applicants and employees. RTI operates the NLCP under contract with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She is an expert in federal requirements for workplace drug testing programs with advanced training and experience in forensic toxicology.

Ms. Crumpton has been with RTI since 1992. She has been a trained examiner for the North Carolina Awards for Excellence Program, which evaluates organizations using Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award criteria. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists, the American Society for Quality, and the Society of Forensic Toxicologists, and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation.
