Sofia Hilali is a project manager within RTI’s International Development Group, supporting water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) related projects. She currently provides technical oversight to RTI’s project office in Sri Lanka and Maldives for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Ocean Plastics Reduction Activity, and the USAID Western Kenya Sanitation Project, where she handles operational support for the project office in Kenya. She is responsible for overseeing overall performance and ensuring implementation excellence on financial, client management, and relationship management objectives.

Prior to joining RTI, Ms. Hilali was a Manager at Chemonics International, where she managed operations of three international development projects in Syria, Iraq, and Mali, funded by the U.S. Department of State, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). She has also managed several USAID funded projects in governance, agriculture, and education. Sofia is a native French and Arabic speaker.
