Robert F. Clark, PhD, has more than two decades of experience in genetics and genomics research focused on some of the most complex diseases that affect human beings.
Dr. Clark’s work involves cancer, especially of the brain, breast, and bone; neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s; psychiatric disorders, especially addiction; degenerative disc disease; and obesity. He is interested in the underlying genetics of these diseases and uses genome-wide association studies and systems genetics to dissect and understand them.
Working with model organisms, such as the fly and mouse, Dr. Clark has performed genetic linkage and association studies, positional cloning, microarray, and system genetics.
