Rafi Alam is a Program Director for Urban Resilience at RTI, committed to developing international business and managing technical delivery of urban governance, institutional strengthening, sustainable urban development solutions, and climate and disaster resilience.
Mr. Alam currently helps the Government of Bangladesh establish an Urban Resilience Unit. He is developing the organizational structure, conducting an impactful community outreach campaign, implementing a comprehensive training and capacity building program, and designing a monitoring and evaluation framework. He supports RTI by establishing and maintaining relations with government agencies and various organizations and businesses. Mr. Alam also creates and executes memorandum of understanding agreements and sub-contracts.
Mr. Alam has 14 years of experience in international business development and program management. Before joining RTI in 2018, his experience led him to serving on projects funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation, and United States Agency for International Development. Mr. Alam helped clients prepare and implement technical assistances, loans, and grants of more than $2 billion.
