Namrata Kaur Uberoi

Namrata Uberoi is an expert in health care policy, private and public health insurance, and the Affordable Care Act. With more than 10 years of experience at a variety of governmental, academic, policy and research institutions, Dr. Uberoi now focuses on implementing programs and payment models for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Her research interests include health insurance dynamics, health care access, and health care financing, often achieved through estimating policy effects and analyzing large-scale longitudinal data sets.

Currently, Dr. Uberoi leads a team performing financial calculations of the CMS Shared Savings Program, producing and validating financial data reports, and performing quantitative and qualitative analyses. With her team, she designs models estimating the financial performance of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and develops education and outreach webinars, videos, and interactive tools for more than 500 ACOs. Dr. Uberoi also provides subject matter expertise on health insurance and Medicare topics, including advanced Alternative Payment Models, contract review, regulation development and Federal rulemaking.

Dr. Uberoi joined RTI in 2017. Her background includes research and policy analysis at the Congressional Research Service (CRS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
