Molly Vaughan leads projects on health care quality for a team focused on commercial health. She has a background in physical therapy and expertise in quality measurement for post-acute care settings for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Her work at RTI has focused on maintaining and evaluating quality measures related to function and patient safety using quantitative research methods, including complex data analysis, risk adjustment, National Quality Forum testing, and contributing to public reporting of quality measures. Her research interests include understanding social and environmental factors that affect health outcomes, including disability, aging, physical activity, and chronic disease management.
Dr. Vaughan has experience with all phases of the research process, including proposal writing, project management, data collection and analysis, survey design, and manuscript and report writing with private and public sector clients. In addition, she contributes to the team’s marketing and thought leadership efforts.
