Michael Thiemann specializes in real-time forecast, decision support, and data processing system implementation and administration, focusing on system architecture and integration. He leads projects that include hydrologic model calibration and evaluation, data processing and visualization tool development, and software design and maintenance.
Mr. Thiemann managed projects that implemented the National Weather Service’s Community Hydrologic Prediction System/Flood Early Warning System, MIKE CUSTOMISED by the Danish Hydrology Institute, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Corps Water Management System forecasting systems. He has experience with supervising staff and has managed many domestic and international projects, from small short-term projects to multiyear, multidiscipline contracts with multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.
