Melissa McSwegin is Director of Strategy and Programs for RTI International’s Global Health Division (GHD), International Development Group (IDG). She has 15 years of experience in public health education, program management, and research in domestic and international settings, including six years of residential field experience in Africa and Latin America. Ms. McSwegin’s wide range of experience in program management and business development covers technical areas such as infectious diseases; reproductive, maternal, and child health; private-sector partnerships; health policy; and health systems strengthening. She also has provided oversight to programs outside of the health sector, including early grade education, technology, water and sanitation, and economic development. She is skilled in client relations, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), proposal development, budget development and tracking, and other tasks related to program management and implementation.
