Melissa Dunn couples her passion for innovative solutions and amplifying learning and change within systems, organizations, teams, and individuals with rigorous, results-driven methods. This combination seeds transformational change promotes learning and development, and creates resilient and sustainable solutions to complex problems.
Leveraging deep experience working across multiple sectors and country contexts, Ms. Dunn co-designs and implements agile and human-centered approaches to local capacity development that foster enhanced performance and improved outcomes. She incorporates the power of coaching, behavioral economics, leadership at all levels, and change management to create learning cultures that support others in developing their own sustainable and resilient solutions.
Ms. Dunn brings over 25 years of experience developing the capacity of individuals, organizations, and systems in an array of settings, including higher education, public health (international and domestic), substance abuse, mental health, education, juvenile justice, and other youth-serving programs, and national, local, and quasi-governmental institutions.
Throughout her career, Ms. Dunn has applied and customized the most appropriate and effective approaches to organizational development, learning, and transformational change. Her experience includes the design and facilitation of training and capacity building materials and tools, management and facilitation of online and eLearning materials, facilitation of international knowledge-sharing and training workshops in areas that include gender equity and social inclusion; leadership development; systems thinking; organizational learning and monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Ms. Dunn’s work in capacity building in low- and middle-income countries spans multicultural settings, community-based organizations, universities and training institutes, and governmental and non-governmental organizations supporting specialized target populations, including women and at-risk youth. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and a skilled coach, facilitator, development trainer, instructional designer, and curriculum developer. She is also a credentialed mediator, conflict resolution specialist, and evaluation professional.
