Melissa Biber Cominole, a member of our Education and Workforce Development team, plays a leading role in project management, analysis, and survey design for several of our large national studies of postsecondary education for the National Center for Education Statistics. Her background includes nearly 20 years of work with data from the National Center for Education Statistics, including the Baccalaureate and Beyond Longitudinal Study, Beginning Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study, and many others. Her research interests include postsecondary access and attainment equality, financial aid and student loan debt, and post-attainment outcomes for baccalaureate and subbaccalaureate students. 

Dr. Cominole currently serves as project director for the 2008-18 Baccalaureate and Beyond Longitudinal Study (B&B:08/18), which tracks education, career, and life experiences of people who received bachelor’s degrees in the 2007-2008 academic year. She also analyzes data for the federal TRIO programs and for a First in the World Development Grant.
