Mariel Christian

Mariel Christian is the Senior Director of Scientific Stature Services at RTI. In her role, she oversees the operations of RTI’s electronic information resource center and RTI Press, which publishes peer-reviewed, open-access publications that reflect RTI’s multidisciplinary research.

In addition to maintaining these resources, Ms. Christian is currently developing a course for the All of Us Researcher Academy—a project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She will co-teach a course titled, “Introduction to Literature Search to Support All of Us Data Analysis,” which aims to introduce students from the Research Academy to effective literature search strategies to help answer research questions.

Ms. Christian has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of knowledge management, data analysis, and business process improvement. She has also led numerous internal organization initiatives and contributed to external projects requiring bibliometrics data analysis. Outside of her work at RTI, Ms. Christian serves on the Book Harvest Durham Leadership Council, the EBSCO Corporation Advisory Board, and the Special Library Association.
