Laura Cane is a strategic communications professional with more than a decade of experience in the global health and international development sectors. Ms. Cane is an expert in writing, editing, crafting effective messages and stories, and is deeply committed to fostering inclusion and collaboration through her work. Since 2013, she has worked with RTI International to communicate the impact of our work in the control and elimination of neglected tropical diseases.
Currently, Ms. Cane serves as a Communications Manager for USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Disease | East program, a global flagship initiative that supports 13 countries working to control and eliminate neglected topical diseases like trachoma and lymphatic filariasis. In this role, she has primary oversight of program communications, including content for print, web, and social media.
