Karthik Nagarajan is Senior Counsel and Head of International Legal Affairs at RTI. Karthik is the primary point of contact at RTI’s Office of Corporate Counsel on international and comparative law issues and works closely with RTI’s International Development Group to facilitate international development projects in over 75 countries including in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He collaborates with RTI Ethics on various matters that cross the Legal and Ethics functions, conducts internal investigations, and advises on anti-corruption, fraud, and ethical issues in the international context.

Prior to joining RTI, Karthik worked for over a decade at White & Case and represented sovereigns, state-owned companies, and multinational corporations in complex international arbitration disputes and advised clients on public international law, sovereign immunity, and white-collar legal issues.

Karthik is a leader at the American Bar Association. He is a Deputy to the Chair of the ABA Section of International Law (2022-2023), a Vice-Chair of the International Arbitration Committee (2021-present), and co-chairs the Mentoring Committee at the ABA’s Afghanistan Professional Resettlement Taskforce (2022-present). He is licensed to practice law in Washington D.C. and New York.
