Kara Sokol is a Senior Research Public Health Analyst at RTI who has co-led program analysis for the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program for the Medicare Shared Savings Program as a Technical Assistance Task Lead. In her role, she leads a team of analysts who offer technical assistance inquiries and develop program guidelines and educational materials for ACOs. In addition, she supports the program through briefing materials, quality scoring, project management and facilitation of weekly client meetings.

Ms. Sokol also serves as a Proposal Review Analyst for the Physician-Focused Payment Model (PFPM) project. For the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, she was a contributing team member who reviews public proposals for PFPMs submitted to the PFPM Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC). Through her role, Ms. Sokol ensures that models are reviewed for their ability to meet 10 criteria and assessed for whether they are likely to succeed or encounter barriers.
