Jorge Elguera

Jorge Elguera serves as the Executive Vice President for Global Technology Services and Chief Information Officer on RTI’s Executive Leadership Team. He is an innovative and purpose-driven leader with over 30 years of experience in global settings, enabling companies to grow and achieve results through technology. Mr. Elguera has a demonstrated ability to develop collaborative solutions that solve customer problems. Before joining RTI in 2022, Mr. Elguera was the Chief Digital Officer for Abt Associates, where he developed a digital transformation of internal and client-facing technology services.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mr. Elguera received his bachelor’s degree in engineering and started his career at IBM as a software developer. After moving to the United States, he led SkyTel’s Latin American IT functions. He provided leadership in global Fortune 500 companies, including Oracle, where he managed a consulting practice focused on ERP and CRM implementations. Mr. Elguera also led the development of technological platforms at Laureate Education, which resulted in the company’s online business increasing 25% over five years. He has helped successful technology companies, including InterSoft Argentina, Diveo Technologies, and Aqualogic BPM, during start-up and development.

Throughout his career, Mr. Elguera has collaborated with colleagues from Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Companies have recognized his hard work and innovative mindset. Laureate Education, Inc. presented him with the President’s Award for Excellence in Delivery in 2006 and the Excellence in Teamwork and Collaboration Award in 2007. In 2011, he was awarded the Smart CIO of the Year by Baltimore Smart CEO Magazine and the Innovation of the Year Award by Abt Associates in 2019. Mr. Elguera held multiple professional memberships over the course of his career. These memberships include the board of directors of Kendall College and New School of Architecture and Design. Mr. Elguera currently serves as presenter and facilitator at the Maryland CIO Roundtable.
