Dr. Jennifer Talbot has over 20 years’ experience in natural resources management in sub-Saharan Africa. She currently serves as chief of party for the US Agency for International Development's Promoting Tanzania’s Environment, Conservation, and Tourism (PROTECT) project, funded by USAID Tanzania. Dr. Talbot provides overall leadership and management for the technical and operations team responsible for supporting this $16 million, five-year project, which addresses dynamics in Tanzania that threaten biodiversity conservation and inhibit private-sector led tourism growth in the wildlife sector.
Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Talbot served as natural resources team leader and forestry advisor for USAID Liberia. She has also worked extensively in Madagascar on community-based biodiversity-conservation and health initiatives.
