Jean Wiecha, PhD, is a public health nutritionist specializing in obesity and chronic disease prevention among youth and families. She has been in the field of nutrition for more than 25 years and has extensive research and leadership experience in both academia and state government. Areas of expertise and specialization include community-based participatory research, dissemination and implementation of community and school-based youth health promotion strategies, epidemiology and biology of obesity, physical activity and nutrition science, and intervention design and evaluation.
