Ingrid Orvedal is committed to helping clients identify the information or data they need, how to gather it efficiently, and how to present it in a way that best meets their decision-making needs. As Associate Director for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adapting (MERLA), Ms. Orvedal has supported dozens of international development activities with MEL systems development and activity design and implementation, across different sectors and spanning the globe. She works with multiple teams in designing and facilitating pause-and-reflect sessions, focusing on learning and key strategic outcomes.

Ms. Orvedal also provides MEL systems design and development support during startup and early implementation for new activities, including for the USAID Papua New Guinea Electrification Partnership Activity; the USAID Philippines Sustainable Interventions for Biodiversity, Oceans, and Landscapes (SIBOL) Activity; the USAID Uganda Biodiversity for Resilience (B4R) Activity in Uganda; the USAID Energy Secure Philippines (ESP) Activity; and the USAID South Asia Regional Energy Program (SAREP).

Ms. Orvedal has extensive experience in developing and facilitating training activities in MERLA, tailoring materials to meet the needs of clients and trainees at all levels. She includes practical elements and uses adult training techniques to ensure participants are engaged and walk away knowing how to apply new skills.
