Gerald Gloria has 14 years of experience deploying renewables, energy efficiency, and waste management solutions in public and private sectors as a project manager and technical expert. He has worked with local governments and stakeholders to catalyze low-emission development through green building policies and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Mr. Gloria contributed to Washington, D.C.’s ambitious sustainability plan and 2050 net-zero emissions goal. He joined the D.C. Department of General Services to develop and implement projects to achieve its low emissions, sustainability, and climate resiliency goals. He has also developed and implemented climate change mitigation and resiliency projects in Haiti, Indonesia, China, the Philippines, and the U.S. Originally from the Philippines, Gerald’s perspective on climate risk and realities is informed by experiencing energy and environmental challenges in a developing economy.
