Cynthia Meurling is the Operations Lead of the United States Agency for International Development's Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East program, a global flagship initiative that supports 13 countries working to control and eliminate neglected tropical diseases like trachoma and lymphatic filariasis. She has primary oversight of a diverse team of experts responsible for strong project administration and financial management, logistics, partner subawards, fixed amount awards, cost-share, and commodity procurements.
Ms. Meurling began her career in the international health sector as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Gabon and has work, study, and travel experience in over 50 countries. Before joining Act to End NTDs | East leadership team, she was the Director of Global Award Management at Ipas. She held management, field operations, and duty of care-focused positions at IntraHealth International. She has worked with a range of clients, including Canada, the UK, Sweden, and various foundations. She is a champion of process improvement and capacity strengthening in organizational efficiency, compliance, and risk management.
