Brian Burke is one of RTI’s leading survey researchers and project directors, specializing in longitudinal studies and energy-related research. Drawing on over 38 years of experience, he is an expert in designing and managing large, highly complex surveys, covering all modes of data collection, for diverse clients including U.S. government agencies, universities, foundations, and international clients.
Mr. Burke is widely recognized as an expert in project management, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute. He also works extensively in business development, seeking to expand RTI's research portfolio.
Mr. Burke’s work at RTI has focused on public health, homeland security (including bioterrorism), and energy research. He is especially proficient at collaborating with clients to select appropriate paths towards the successful completion of research objectives that produce high-quality, scientifically valid, and publishable outcomes. He has directed one of RTI’s largest and longest-running longitudinal studies, the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health), since 2001.
