Biruck Kebede is a public health professional with over 14 years of experience in government and non-governmental sectors. He is currently the Chief of Party of USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases| East program in Ethiopia, a global initiative to help endemic countries fight neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). In this capacity, he works closely with the Ministry of Health and its partners and leads technical and operational aspects of the program to achieve control and elimination targets set forth by the program.  

Prior to joining RTI in 2021, Mr. Kebede worked as the NTD Program Team Leader and as Acting Director of Disease Prevention & Control Department at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Health.
