Dr. Ashutosh Mishra is the Chief of Party for RTI International’s Research and Evaluation for Action in Child Health (REACH) project. He has significant expertise in developing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks for large-scale public health programs.
Dr. Mishra’s research interests’ lie in health impact assessment and the integrated maternal, neonatal, and child health strategy. He has been actively involved in designing interventions to reduce morbidity and mortality among mothers and young children.
Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Mishra worked as the M&E Manager at Clinton Health Access Initiative on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded Essential Medicines project to improve the use, prescription, and availability of oral rehydration salts and zinc for the management of childhood diarrhea by private- and public-sector providers.
Dr. Mishra has worked with several organizations in the global health sector. As part of EngenderHealth, he assisted on the global RESPOND project that aimed to improve awareness of, access to, and quality of no-scalpel vasectomy services. In a previous role with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Dr. Mishra was responsible for designing and implementing HIV/AIDS-related surveillance systems.
