As senior manager of information and communication technology (ICT) project management for the Global Health Division of the International Development Group (IDG), Alex Pavluck leads the team that performs informatics systems planning, design, and project management for information system development and implementation across IDG. He is deeply involved in the system-development life cycle, including requirements gathering, workflow refinement, operational feasibility assessment, and production of system design documents, data models and process diagrams.
Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Pavluck was the director of research computing for the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Support Center at the Task Force for Global Health, where he developed the LINKS electronic mobile data-collection and cloud-based reporting system, and he also led the information team for the Global Trachoma Mapping Project. Mr. Pavluck has worked as both an epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society and a systems engineer at the Internet service provider Earthlink.
