AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum 2026
Date
Join global leaders at the AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum to explore practical approaches for managing water risks, strengthening basin resilience, and scaling effective collective action.
Visit RTI International’s sponsor table to explore how science-based tools and decision frameworks are helping organizations assess water risk, model future scenarios, and prioritize action across complex watersheds. Experts will be demoing WaterFALL, a platform that helps organizations to quantify impact, model uncertainty, and prioritize watershed actions with confidence.
Collective Action Interactive Working Session: Catawba-Wateree Source Water Protection Case Study
RTI Speaker: Michele Eddy
Date: June 23, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
This interactive working session at AWS combines learnings from multi-stakeholder collective actions in high-water stress locations with dialogues on how to ignite more action in more places. Michele Eddy will walk through a real-world case study from the Catawba-Wateree River Basin, demonstrating how a watershed-based approach can be applied to source water protection and collective action planning. Participants will explore how data and modeling were used to:
- Quantify water quantity and water quality benefits of coordinated interventions
- Understand basin-scale impacts beyond individual sites
- Evaluate tradeoffs and co-benefits across stakeholder actions
- Support credible, transparent decision-making under uncertainty
- Align collective action efforts with long-term watershed and operational goals
The session is designed to provide practical insights into how watershed-scale analysis can strengthen collaboration and improve outcomes in shared water systems.
