RTI International’s Craig Hill Recognized as ASA Fellow at 2019 Joint Statistical Meetings

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, announces Craig A. Hill, PhD has been recognized as an ASA Fellow at the 2019 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Denver, Colorado.

Formed in 1839, the American Statistical Association includes over 19,000 members from academics, government, research, and business. According to the ASA, their mission is to promote the practice and profession of statistics.

The ASA Fellow designation is an esteemed honor awarded each year to up to one-third of one percent of American Statistical Association members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of statistical science. Nominees are evaluated based on published works, professional accomplishments, and positions held.

Dr. Hill, a Senior Vice President for the Survey, Computing, and Statistical Sciences business unit, is one of a select group of distinguished individuals to be awarded with this honor by the ASA this year. He brings over 30 years of experience to statistical, methodological, and social science research and has directed projects for clients ranging from federal and academic, to commercial. At RTI, he is responsible for a $150 million business unit and the Center for Data Science, which is bringing new techniques and approaches to the field of social science.
