Marquis Mason is a research education analyst at RTI. He has more than 12 years’ experience as a practitioner and education researcher, with expertise in STEM education, instructional and leadership coaching, professional and curriculum development, and DEI initiatives. Dr. Mason specializes in facilitating learning that interrupts inequities in teacher diversity and student achievement. He has experience developing and facilitating PBL professional learning, conducting DEI assessments, designing, and facilitating professional learning for beginning teachers, developing blended learning and STEM instructional frameworks, coaching new and veteran teachers, and teaching STEM coursework at the secondary and post-secondary level.

Before joining RTI, Dr. Mason was a science teacher and instructional coach where he worked closely with students, teachers, administrators, and K-12 instructional leaders.
