Synthesized population databases: A US geospatial database for agent-based models

Wheaton, W.D., Cajka, J.C., Chasteen, B.M., Wagener, D.K., Cooley, P.C., Ganapathi, L., & et al. (May 2009).

RTI researchers developed a human agent database that provides a realistic population for use in modeling people interact with their environment. It is especially useful in simulating infectious disease outbreaks and transportation planning.

The database combines available national data sets, population-generating techniques, and GIS techniques as well as several custom enhancements.
