Connect

Travis Meyers is a research criminologist in RTI’s Corrections and Reentry Research Program. His research interests include corrections and correctional policy, with a focus on the use of restrictive housing, offender rehabilitation, and program evaluation. Dr. Meyers has extensive experience working with local and state correctional agencies to conduct qualitative, quantitative, and program evaluation studies focused on improving outcomes for correctional staff and incarcerated persons.

Dr. Meyers is currently on multiple RTI projects including the Assessment of the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Restrictive Housing Practices, Using Technology to Facilitate Successful Reentry Outcomes: A Randomized Control Trial of a Web-Based Reentry Planning Tool, and the Review of Bureau of Justice Assistance FY14 to FY18 Second Chance Act Evaluations.

Before joining RTI in 2023, Dr. Meyers was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
