Neelima Reddy Kunta is a research systems programmer/analyst at RTI. She serves as the technical and IT project manager for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)'s National Forensic Laboratory Information System (NFLIS), a program that collects results of forensic analyses from local, regional, and national entities. Ms. Kunta led the Java development team and used agile methodology for developing the NFLIS website using Java and Oracle. Ms. Kunta was involved in migrating the SQL database to Oracle database and she develops Oracle stored procedures for the NFLIS Data Query System. Ms. Kunta also collaborates with toxicology and medicolegal death investigation subject matter experts and social science and data analysis experts to develop the NFLIS data collection processing procedures and identify new drugs reported to NFLIS. She acts as a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) liaison and assists the data management team with communications to the NFLIS entities and LIMS providers. She works closely with the NFLIS recruitment team and helps the team with any IT-related requests. She also collaborates with the IT division at DEA to establish and configure Oracle and SQL databases, including certification and accreditation activities.  

Ms. Kunta has experience leading and developing multiple surveys with various clients including Best Children’s Hospitals - Pediatric Hospital Survey (US News), BJS Census of Medical Examiner and Coroner Offices Survey (CMEC), U.S. Bureau of the Census, Computer Audio Recorded Interviewing (CARI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) Surveys and NFLIS surveys. Before joining RTI in 2008, Ms. Kunta worked at Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence as a task leader, where she designed and developed a secure website for submitting Prior Authorization requests for therapy services for North Carolina Medicaid patients. Ms. Kunta is a certified Project Management Professional and certified scrum master.
