Connect

Marina Duane is a senior victim services specialist in RTI’s Justice Practice Area. She leads and supports training and technical assistance projects on a variety of victimization and justice interventions. Her expertise lies in providing research-oriented technical assistance to individual agencies and multi-site initiatives; evaluability assessments; supporting peer learning among practitioners; providing consultation on data collection, analyses, and program evaluation; and engaging survivors and people closest to the issue in research and TTA projects. 

Before joining RTI in 2024, Ms. Duane was a research fellow at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago where she provided research-oriented technical assistance and conducted research on system responses to intimate partner violence, homelessness, and opioid use disorders treatment in correctional settings. Marina also worked at the Urban Institute's Justice Policy Center where she led single and multi-site studies on various victimization topics and provided technical assistance to communities, non-profits, and local governments on how to safely and equitably reduce jail populations. Earlier in her career, Marina worked for local government in Pittsburgh, PA, where she designed, implemented, and assessed new human service programs and provided technical assistance to 80 nonprofits throughout Ukraine at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
