Connect

Jamie Newsome is a senior justice researcher at RTI with expertise in corrections and reentry. She has developed tools and interventions for use in corrections settings and led several studies using experimental and quasi-experimental research designs. Dr. Newsome also has experience managing large, multi-site studies requiring complex data collection from several agencies. She is currently contributing to the Pokket evaluation study, funded by the National Institute of Justice.

Before joining RTI in 2023, Dr. Newsome was the director of research at REFORM Alliance, an advocacy organization creating legislative changes to improve the community supervision system in the United States. Before that, she was the research manager for UCCI, where she oversaw all research activities and provided technical assistance to corrections agencies nationwide.
