Chris Townsend is a software developer who works on web applications, distributed computing systems, and data processing with Python and other technologies. Mr. Townsend has been a software developer professionally for 17 years. Prior to joining RTI, he was a senior software engineer for Applied Research Associates, Inc., working on massively parallel computer systems and developing web-based APIs. Mr. Townsend has extensive experience with programming in Python, SQL, Go, C and C++, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. Mr. Townsend also has experience designing, developing, and performance tuning large transactional and analytic databases in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Apache Drill.
