Carol Mansfield, PhD, is a senior research economist in the Health Preference Assessment group at RTI Health Solutions. She has over 20 years of experience working on management and policy applications related to health and the environment.
Dr. Mansfield has conducted research to investigate disease treatment and prevention programs; children’s health; air and water quality protection; recreation experiences; and terrorism risk. She has extensive experience with preference elicitation methods, including design and implementation of surveys and activity diaries, as well as statistical analysis of the responses. She has conducted surveys for commercial clients, policy research, regulatory analysis, and methodological research administered using mail, telephone, and web-based Internet panels.
Previously, Dr. Mansfield served as an assistant professor of economics at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment, where she taught graduate-level courses in environmental economics.
