Brian Corey is an educational consultant in RTI’s Center for Education Services. His work involves helping facilitate professional learning for teachers and staff to help them improve instructional quality and student learning. His focus is always on using data to grow educators’ leadership capacity, support and implement instructional models in schools, and apply adult learning theory to support education leaders’ growth.

Currently, Brian supports multiple North Carolina principals with leadership, instructional quality, and coaching development on Rethink Education, a project focused on helping education leaders reimagine education to help schools and districts with their school improvement efforts and positively impact student learning. He also supports the development of Wake County’s Early Childhood Action Plan (ECAP), which will outline steps over the next three to five years to ensure that children birth through kindergarten are prepared for success in school and life. Finally, Brian helps principals and teachers in Vance County implement school improvement processes that increase student learning.

Before joining RTI, Brian was director of testing and accountability at Lenoir County Schools, as well as a middle and high school principal.
