RTI International extends sustainability commitment as 2024 GreenBiz panelist and sponsor

Focal points include circular economy, climate technology and sustainable finance

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — With the goal of convening leaders in sustainability, technology and business, RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, is participating in and sponsoring GreenBiz Group’s 2024 events. Focal points include circular economy, climate technology and sustainable finance.

GreenBiz Group’s mission is to define and accelerate the business of sustainability. RTI’s partnership aims to forge new relationships with sustainablilty leaders, who are seeking hands-on, tangible solutions and key insights into decarbonization, biodiversity, supply chains and strategic communications.

“As an institution that prioritizes turning knowledge into practice, we understand the role that sustainability plays in addressing climate change. The RTI team looks forward to participating in GreenBiz and finding opportunities to work with the private sector to ensure circular economy practices become the norm rather than the exception,” said RTI’s climate liaison and leader of RTI’s Center for Climate Solutions, Daniel Lapidus.

Circularity 24 will kick-off the event series in Chicago, Illinois, in May, which will focus on innovating and accelerating the transition to a circular economy. RTI Innovation Advisors Sustainability Team Lead Jamie Pero Parker will moderate a panel discussion to share insights surrounding the end-of-life journey of compostable packaging.

“We're thrilled to share some of the key insights we've derived through our sustainability work at RTI. We hope to provide attendees with a critical understanding of the nuances of compostable packaging and the composting process, which can be challenging,” said Pero Parker.

RTI experts will also share their expertise at GreenFin 24 in June in New York, New York, centered on sustainable finance and the climate tech conference, VERGE 24, in October in San Jose, California.
