Leslimar Ríos-Colón is a research chemist within the NCCU-RTI Center for Applied Research in Environmental Sciences (CARES). She has expertise in cell culture, microscopy, and in vitro assays, as well as project coordination and data management. Dr. Ríos-Colón is currently contributing to projects supported by the National Toxicology Program and the Environmental Protection Agency's Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program.

Before joining RTI, Dr. Ríos-Colón was a postdoctoral researcher at North Carolina Central University's Julius L. Chambers Biomedical and Biotechnology Research Institute, where she investigated the roles of stress hormones and social determinants of health on the development of prostate cancer in Black men.
