Mr. Bonick's work centers on understanding human behavioral responses following soft target attacks in order to create agent-based models of these events. He also is collaborating on the development and evaluation of a method to redirect online searches for anti-government/anti-authority violent extremist material. He has experience designing, implementing, and analyzing research studies and experiments, and creating interventions that alter human decision-making and behavior. 

Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Bonick worked as a social scientist at Duke University and UNICEF, where he designed interventions based on behavioral science using human-centered design strategies that endeavored to improve human decision-making within the health and government domains.
