Jonathan S. Wald

Jonathan Wald, MD, MPH, served for 10 years as the associate director of Clinical Informatics Research and Development, Partners Healthcare, Boston, before joining RTI. He specializes in medical informatics with experience in clinical systems design, development, implementation, usability, data analysis, teaching, and publications. Dr. Wald's clinical systems and research focus includes patient computing, electronic medical records, and confidentiality – specifically, understanding how advanced information technology and electronic communications can be used to improve clinical outcomes, processes of care, decision making, and patient care experience. In his role as associate director of Clinical Informatics Research and Development, he was responsible for research, development, and implementation of an innovative Partners-wide patient portal and gateway, which connects thousands of patients and their physicians for secure online communication and access to their own patient records.
