Abstract

To support states in improving the quality of their Perkins accountability data, the Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE), US Department of Education, invited State Directors of Career-Technical Education to submit requests for individualized technical assistance. In response to a request by the State of Minnesota, MPR researchers provided targeted technical assistance to assist the state in improving the sharing of student data between secondary and postsecondary institutions, as well as between the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System office. This memo summarizes MPR's work and offers recommendations to improve data sharing across the secondary and postsecondary sectors
