Abstract
Midwest Research Institute (MRI), under contract to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has prepared a manual on fugitive particulate emissions to assist the control agency in evaluating emission control plans and to assist industry personnel in development of cost effective emission control strategies. The MRI study is explained in considerable detail as its the manual content. Foundry emission sources are completely represented. Also, methods of estimating fugitive emission rates and procedures that use available data to develop cost effective control strategies or evaluate emissions tradeoffs with alternatives are described.
